- Funder of the Year – Awarded to the Angel One investor-member most active in terms of investments and direct involvement with their investee companies.
- Contributor of the Year – Awarded to the Angel One member who, through his or her activities, has contributed most to the success of Angel One and/or the angel community in the previous year.
“Daniel joined Angel One in January 2013,” says Karen Grant, Executive Director of Angel One. “Since then, he has been an active member and investor, joining the Angel One Board in June 2016. He has served on a variety of Angel One committees, including the Due Diligence committee. Daniel has successfully helped a string of companies grow their businesses in an accelerated fashion: Stericycle, Prompt Alert, IGLOO Software, PricewaterhouseCoopers, performancesoft, Actuate, and IONA Technologies.”
“It’s never been about winning awards,” says Kube. “To me it’s about doing what I love, which is helping others achieve their goals. Being involved in Angel One has been and continues to be an amazing experience. The entrepreneurial community in Southern Ontario holds a lot of potential and it’s nice to be part of an organization that is bringing much needed advice and funding to these young companies. I am incredibly honoured by this award and look forward to many more years of contributing to Angel One.”
